Wholesome Residing: Problem your core with this enjoyable floating train at GymFit
BATON ROUGE, LA (BRPROUD) – Take your balance to the next level with a fun, floating exercise class available now at GymFit. Carly Laing explains the benefits of this week’s new class, Healthy Living.
When the temperature rises, GymFit will help you cool off with a new training class.
“Expect to get wet. You will likely be using muscles that you have never used before, “said Hanson.
We’re talking about GymFit Float. It’s a yoga paddleboard class that is perfect for summer.
“At this time of year, when it’s so hot, a course like this one is a relief because you can be in the water, you can be wet and still get a good training course,” said Brandi Hanson.
One class instructor Brandi Hanson said will challenge your core.
“You have to use a lot of the core. You need to have a lot of balance to stay on top of these and stay in position and change position to position. You still gain your strength, your flexibility. All of the benefits you would get from a floating mat are what you will get, but I have a feeling that it is enhanced, ”said Hanson.
It is also a good practice for mindfulness.
“You really have to focus on aligning your joints and it will be the little details. Where do I put my hand, where do I put my foot? What do I have to compensate so that I don’t fall into the water? You have to keep an eye on what’s happening to your body, ”said Hanson.
Hanson said it was a fun way to take a normal exercise program to the next level.
“It gets you out of your box, takes you out of your comfort zone. It also makes you feel a bit like a child again. I feel like as I get older, I want to keep pushing myself and try new things and have things that are more adventurous and interesting, ”said Hanson.
