The Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo and the Wholesome Meals Expo West can be moved to August 2022 as the subsequent in-person occasion

SHELTON, CT / ACCESSWIRE / June 17, 2021 / With the restaurant and foodservice industry behind the years of the global pandemic, Clarion Events Food & Beverage Group, along with the California Restaurant Association, made the decision to cancel the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo 2021 and the Healthy Food Expo West scheduled for the Anaheim Convention Center this August. This decision was made after extensive discussions with hundreds of exhibitors, operators, sponsors and speakers, who recommended that the next in-person live event be rescheduled for August 2022, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Event dates will be announced in July.

“Few industries have been harder hit than California gastronomy, and while we’re disappointed that we can’t get together this August, we know it’s the right decision. With the overwhelming community support for the 2022 event, we are confident that we will successfully bring the restaurant and food service industries back together for an even bigger event in Los Angeles, ” said Greg Topalian, CEO of Clarion Events North America, maker of the food and beverage portfolio for events. “Our events are here to partner with the industry and we know this is the right decision for our communityWe are confident that the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo and Healthy Food Expo West will be compulsory events in August 2022 next year as the industry recovers, and the overwhelming support from the vendor community suggests a strong return to a live event in Los Angeles. “

“Restaurants were the first to be forced to close at the beginning of the pandemic, and they are among the last to reopen now, 15 months later. The economic losses to restaurants, their employees and communities have been disproportionate. Every restaurant owner in This state knows the road to real recovery will be long, so we applaud Clarion Events’ decision to wait until August 2022 to bring the industry back together, “said Jot Condie, President and CEO of California Restaurant Association (CRA), sponsors of the show and conference, “We look forward to serving our members, the operators, during this recovery to unwind through the association leadership and local / state advocacy.”

The story goes on

In the meantime, Clarion Events will continue to support operators’ needs for education and networking and will continue to provide them Year-round opportunities for hospitality professionals to network virtually through digital forums, a robust on-demand webinar library, and a new national digital event in late 2021.
