The Romanian start-up for wholesome meals supply LifeBox is increasing to Budapest

LifeBox, the healthy food delivery startup founded by Radu Balaceanu, Florin Scarlat and Lukasz Kuzniar, has decided to expand outside of Romania and start its service in Budapest, Hungary under the FrissBox brand.

The three founders estimate an investment of around 300,000 euros this year to expand the business in Budapest and expect FrissBox to achieve sales of 5 million euros by the end of 2023.

FrissBox customers in Budapest can choose from the same menu options in the LifeBox portfolio, which are adapted to local tastes. The first deliveries will take place from June 21st.

“We like things outside the box, so we thought, why not outside the box. […] We chose Budapest because we see real potential in the Hungarian market, where the concept of healthy eating is as popular as it is in Romania, and we hope through this expansion to help as many people as possible to achieve their goals, be it losing weight or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, “said the founders of LifeBox.

LifeBox offers healthy menus adapted to each user’s lifestyle. Five types of menus are prepared in the LifeBox kitchens every day and can be ordered daily or up to 3 months in advance in Bucharest & Ilfov, Cluj & Floresti, Oradea and now also abroad, in Budapest.
